Blockhaus Maranza
Saturday night I attended a meeting on the recovery from the Company Forest Trento, the Municipality and associations and Alpini Villazzano Sat, paths and a military fortress in the areas of Cima Marzola and Maranza. These mountains dominate the east of the city of Trento.
The feasibility of this project is taking advantage of the valuable collaboration of the engineer Volker, historical and military scholar, the passionate "Fortress of the city of Trento.
is not my intention to put friends know about this project, "local" (can not be very interesting), but simply bring the thrill and wonder about the personal aspects of this mountain on which they are fond of since childhood. Not having a record card I needed to carry the lessons learned and "download" here is some important information even if it's hard to remember the many technical details listed by the scholar.
Villazzano I live in a small town on the hill of Trento. They are at the foot of the mountain Maranza. About 40
ago my grandfather with my father as a young boy, have recovered, just in that area, a former military prison at a mountain house.
From when I was little I spent all my summers in Maranza. I am familiar with its paths, its lawns, the street fire zones are "good" where to collect mushrooms.
Thanks to my grandmother, with whom I have long walks in the woods, I met the old military roads and its ruins which are still partly visible.
How many times have I passed! And who knows how many times I wondered what were those walls, those stones!
Saturday evening, thanks to quest'igegnere, but I prefer to call it, very passionate historian, I could wonder why all those "rocks"!
For years this scholar is concerned to discover and explain the building of the Fortress of Trento.
Maranza, or "Blockhaus Maranza", was briefly the most modern military logistics center in Europe never existed. This engineer has access to the archive of Trento and State of Vienna has found approx. 25,000 documents never read their own motivations for the design and construction of the blockhouse Maranza. During the evening
illustrated original military maps of the area related to strategies and directions placements on the same machine guns 9 / 75 and guns. We presented the project to build a road from the countries and Villazzano Povo door Maranza: The drawings indicate the odds even as they climbed the road by calculating the slope of a curve and the other not more than 12 meters because they had calculated that a mule could carry a gun with a maximum slope of no more than this (pazzesco!).
has shown photos, never presented before, the battery, the casemates, water collection wells, crooked streets of the military, who dominated the dense trenches "my mountain."
From the drawings it was clear that military Maranza Marzola and the top had a very important posizine strategic military defense of the city of Trento.
Another news that surprised me were the original design drawings and photos of the construction of the cable car with automatic release located in the area of Pra Marquart with various material which was transported in two directions: Chegùl and clay.
All materials used for the construction of this cable car was brought back by approx. Trentino 9000 women still defined "women militarized."
My intent was not to bring the technical aspects but I can remember through my diary, although little good use of the great emotion that I felt Saturday night in bridging the likely questions asked so long ago with my grandparents, now been met.
Try to understand, above all, that happened so long ago that today I walk in the woods.

Joseph O 'Connor, "The End of the road" The Spiderwick Chronicles
I got for Christmas was one of several books by Joseph O'Connor entitled "The End of the Road" published in 2003.
was for some time since I read a book all in one breath!
I agree with some criticism of this work.
"O'Connor has a great eye for the absurdity of the situations common and a great ear for everyday speech. His writing is amazing."
And again, "O'Connor gives us the resentment, anger, anxiety, anger, and the sweetness of family life. A map of the human heart." The story is
set in Dublin, Christmas 1994. All the events that take place in a week, are trapped in a vortex of amazing coincidences and unexpected and exciting, that do not want to close the book if you do not get to 492esima page! The Library of Mantua

What Happened To Tawnee Stone?
Mondadori I bought a lot of curiosity, 6 children's books really fantastic! The first 5 volumes
I was fascinated by the detailed graphics, the fantasy of the story and the detailed description of the characters that are part of this adventure as experienced by three brothers Grace.
The authors of these books are Tony DiTerlizzi, with regard to the incredible fantasy illustrations (his site: www.diterlizzi.com) and Holly Black for the wonderful short stories (his site: www.blackholly.com).
I'm not a reader of children's books but this collection is beautiful and original in terms of their structure.
The pages are yellowed, the character in the book, changing several times, every few pages there are some wonderful illustrations, references to the mysterious events that occurred previously represented by newspaper articles, some old maps that make it unique reading.
The five books are about the adventures of three brothers dealing with goblins, evil creatures, trolls, magic stones, boggart and elves hiding in the old house the family inherited from a distant great-aunt Grace, all in search of the book In the sixth book of secrets
, just come out, they are all drawings of fantasy characters that populate the first five volumes and, in my opinion, are the most beautiful fantasy art I've ever seen so far!

Tales Jorn Riel
Jorn Riel, born in 1931 in Odense, Denmark is among the best known and most beloved writers at home.
few months ago I read for the first time, bought one of his books to the library in Florence and Edison published by the publishing house Hyperborea.
His stories are set in the world's largest island, which he called "the virgin cold or Greenland. His way of describing this immense expanse of snow and ice is extremely fascinating.
characters that animate his stories in different books published, are a group of trappers Danish only inhabitants of that keystone of ice floating in the ocean. Associali, funny, sometimes cruel, rough but at the same time moving. They prefer to stay thousands of miles away from any concrete, only human beings in a world populated by foxes, polar bears, musk oxen. Men everywhere surrounded by a white pristine snow and darkness that lasts for six long months.
are incredible changes made by the writer around the same characters that disappear and return in several publications.
Lasselille, Mortensen, Fjordur, Lause, Lieutenant Hansen, Pedersen, Anton, Doc, Herbert, Valfredo, Bjork and the Count are told in their the most extravagant and bizarre adventures Arctic.

Does Half Price Books Buy Books?
Dreams ...
the home page of my blog I wrote "Dreams are the leaven of life and strive to achieve them is life itself": it happens that some can not be achieved but no one has to throw everything to the wind, all that has dreams and desires, all that was hoped and tried on that dream.
I find it hard to accept the reality of things but even more stupid to miss out of pride, resentment and obstinacy that the person has lived in my dream.
If I put aside my bad these defects maybe I will get to love it once was, as two real friends.
I would hope that even if you read this post for a while 'that does not write on lj.

"birds from our friends ... I learned the following.
I can not come to you because you already are next.
You're not small, because you're already grown up: you are great and games with time and life - like all do - for the sake of living.
... Every gift makes you a friend is a wish for happiness as well as this ring.
Fly free and happy beyond birthdays, at a time without end, in Persempre .
From time to time we shall meet - when we like - in the middle of the only party that can never end. "
